Mr. Merino joined Forest Lake Law, P.A. as a partner in July of 2016. Mr. Merino was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and is Puerto Rican descent. Being the son of a retired Judge Advocate General, Lieutenant Colonel Merino, he has been surrounded by the legal profession his entire life. Mr. Merino has lived across the United States including Maryland, Indiana, Missouri, Georgia, and Puerto Rico.
Mr. Merino is fully bilingual in Spanish and English, and focuses his practice in all aspects of civil litigation, particularly as it relates to family law, real estate, foreclosure, contract, and bankruptcy. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and went on to earn his Juris Doctorate degree from Barry University, School of Law. Mr. Merino has been practicing in Central and South Florida and is a member of the Florida Bar. He is also admitted to practice in Federal Court for the U.S. Middle District of Florida. Mr. Merino is passionate about the law and always eager to take on even the most challenging cases. “Excellence is the standard and not the mission” is the best way to characterize Mr. Merino’s approach to the practice of law.
